# Image Models

> Venice image models for generation, editing, background removal, and upscaling, including Flux 2, GPT Image, Grok Imagine, and Chroma.

## Model Types

* **Generation:** Create images from text prompts
* **Upscale:** Enhance image resolution and quality
* **Edit:** Modify existing images with inpainting

<Tip>
  Image generation sizing is model-specific. Pixel-based models such as `venice-sd35` use `width` and `height`; aspect-ratio models such as `qwen-image-2` use `aspect_ratio`; models that list resolution options such as `1K`, `2K`, or `4K` use both `resolution` and `aspect_ratio`. The Qwen Image family — `qwen-image`, `qwen-image-3`, and `qwen-image-3-pro` — rejects `width` and `height` with a `400` and requires `aspect_ratio`.

<Tip>
  **Quality tiers.** `gpt-image-2` (generate) and `gpt-image-2-edit` (edit/multi-edit) accept an optional `quality` parameter — `low`, `medium`, or `high` (default). Lower tiers cost less; see the [Pricing overview](/overview/pricing#image-generation) for the full matrix or fetch `model_spec.pricing.quality` from the [Models endpoint](/api-reference/endpoint/models/list).
